To colour or not to colour?
I’ve been debating this decision for months, ever since last year when I was getting a bit restless with my hair. But I always put it off. Mainly because I was scared. I’ve worn different colours of extensions and weaves but I’ve only dyed my own hair once – to jet black. Then this winter I thought, life’s too short, when summer arrives, I’m going to try brown. Well, summer’s here!
I used Garnier’s Nutrisse Colour shade 7.3. You can get this at Clicks or Pick n Pay. Don’t worry about the colour of the model’s hair as it’s actually a blonde colour but on my dark brown hair, it came out in this shade. When I first rinsed it off, I was a bit disappointed because the change wasn’t as drastic as I’d hoped and joked to Kev that I was looking like I’d been rolling around in some red sand, lol. But then once I saw it in the light I was relieved that it came out the way it did. I might actually go lighter next time!
And now, onto this week’s looks:
Happiness 😀
i love u and ur hair!! u are goregous!! im 8 months natural, did a complete shave of last year december. but my hair seems to grow very slow though…any advise?
I love this hair colour, and I too have wanted to colour my twa for ages but I am terrified of the colour drying out my fro 🙁
Yeah, it does dry the fro out but it means I have to be more careful with which products I use and make sure that they're extra moisturising. Maybe if you're too scared, you can try a semi dye or a colour wash where it's at least not permanent?
i love the puff! the colour looks great! just did my first puff this week at ten months!
Thanks Evbu. Isn't your first puff so exciting?! I also did my first around about 9-10 months and was beyond chuffed with myself and my hair. Happy times 🙂 Please share a pic the next time you rock it.
