This Week’s Looks

This week, I kept it quite simple and remixed a couple old faithful styles.

On Monday:

I started off with a puff, as I’m doing these days to help stretch out my hair after wash day. I’m also trying to minimise how often I do this style to lessen the tension placed on my hairline. So nowadays, I usually do it once a week, on Mondays.

**Watch out for my fifth video featuring this style!

On Tuesday:

Didn’t have much time to style it any other way, and I loved the simplicity of a side pull up like how I did last weekend so just revisited it and placed it on the other side.

On Wednesday:

So, this was supposed to be a mohawk. Fro said no. So I guess it’s a…something with twist ups.

Wednesday morning cake munching @ work with my partner in crime, Jenny C.

On Thursday:

I’d been wanting to try a twist up updo but everytime I planned on doing it, fro threw a tantrum and I went with what was working. In this case, three twist ups in the front. Worked out in the end.

So this week was a little trying as it took awhile for my hair to fully soften and get to that happy place. Well, we got there eventually!

Our hair length is about the same…and a couple of the styles I already do (and am getting bored with) Thanks so much for other style suggestions that seem like they will be easy to do.:)

The Thursday look is gorgeous…love it. I also love the first one, simple updo. That is what I do nowadays to mine. ZM

tuesday! wednesday! awesomeness!what method do you use to beat shrinkage after washing? braiding? does it get easier as the hair lengthens? i am at 10 months and i find is so tiring twisting/re twisting each time to beat the shrinkage, i got to make what feels like 20 twists/braids each time. also, have you tried tension blow drying to reduce shrinkage? and how do you detangle on wash day? i am asking all these questions cause i would like to know your experience as my hair has a similar texture.

Thanks Evbu 🙂 As promised, I'll be posting an article (possibly a videao accompanying it) on how I do my stretching and night time routine etc. Once you get it into your evening routine, it's hard to miss no matter how tired you are. So watch this space!
