What I Tried: VO5 Love My Colour

I actually originally planned on sharing my thoughts on these new products after a couple of weeks of using them but I got so excited, I couldn’t wait to do this quick review.

I bought the VO5 Love My Colour shampoo and conditioner a few weeks ago because:

a) I’d previously used their Elixirs shampoo and conditioner and quite like them
b) They were on promotion at Clicks (although, I still would have bought them)
c) They’re just sooooo cute! I LOVE the packaging…yes, anything hot pink catches my eye so well done VO5 for knowing how to target me 😀

I used the conditioner last weekend to co-wash my hair and it was nice. It went on easily and softened my hair. I think that’s probably thanks to the oils they put in, including my favourite avocado oil. Then today, I used the shampoo and was very, very happy. It didn’t leave my hair squeaky clean feeling but did leave it feeling and looking bouncy. I also love the scent, it’s a mildly sweet and floral fragrance, but nothing overbearing, just enough to match its cute packaging.

All in all, was a great buy and I’d be sure to buy these again. I’m about to put on their Miracle Concentrate Argan Oil on. They also have a couple of other varieties for moisture etc. Can’t wait to try those out too. Nice one, fro is happy.

Hey Pretty! Funny you ask me this cos I was reading an article on Black Girl Long Hair about the same thing. From what I've read on that and other blogs as well as from what I've been doing with my hair, it's okay to use a rinse out conditioner on your hair, as long as it's not a deep conditioner. The one I use in my spritz is a rinse out, but it's been okay on my hair. Many have said as long as you still shampoo your hair regularly, then leaving a rinse out conditioner on your hair should be okay. Also, the light the conditioner, the better so to avoid build up. I've used the Tresemme conditioners and they seem to be okay. Maybe test it for a bit and note how your hair reacts 😉

    Here's the article, it's very useful: http://blackgirllonghair.com/2012/01/is-conditioner-meant-to-be-left-in-your-hair/

Hi Aisha, there is something that I realy don't understand. Hope u can help me couse I'm tired of browsing the internet. Can I use a rinse out conditioner in my spritz or do I have to use a leave in Conditioner? I have a Tresemme moisture rich Conditioner their New advanced Technology. I love it. It leaves my hair soft when I cowash with it. But I'm afraid of putting it in my spritz. As it says it must be rinsed out.
