Love your blog and love your hair.
I've noticed that your ends or egdes (don't know what to call them) are very smooth. I have ends that can resemble spider webs and I hate it.
I don't know how to articulate this but my ends are either in knots(not a lot) or very thin and sticking out.
What can I do?
Hi, thanks for writing in.
I'm guessing you mean my edges? (the hairline) If so, I use a toothbrush to gently brush them and smooth them down. For a slicker look, I add gel to the area and again, brush gently with my toothbrush. The thinning you're experiencing could be caused by styling your hair in high-tension styles. Try to avoid styles where you pull your hairline. If you weave or cornrow etc, make sure they don't pull your hairline as this causes tension in the area. Doing these styles often can lead to permanent damage. Also try adding castor oil to your products, I've heard it can help with thinning edges. Hope that helps!
