This Week’s Looks feat. 5 New Updos

My second hair challenge officially began this week! I haven’t been this excited about anything Fro-related in a while! I’d been wanting to do this challenge for a long time and I’m so excited to finally be doing it. I’ve had so much fun this first week as the first four styles I wore were completely new to me. I’ll be sharing how I did each and every one of these styles with you on my YouTube channel. Here we go!

Me on Monday:

Tuesday:

Wednesday:

Thursday:
(originally an uninspired day that turned out to inspire a fabulous new style)

Friday:

Saturday:

Loved! All of the styles 😀 I’m beyond glad to be doing this challenge. Here’s to another week!

Hi Zoey, thanks for your comment! Great to hear you've been inspired 🙂 I sometime use Isoplus Styling Gel to get my hair looking 'slick'

Do you blow dry your hair before you style it? Everytime I try styling my hair it shrinks right up and tangles like crazy. Well this is after I take it out of my chunky braids that I put in the night before. Any tips? I feel so lost with this journey

Hi, I don't blow dry/blow out my hair (not sure what the difference is). I've only done so about 5 times over the past 2 years. Blow drying really dries the hair out which could lead to breakage so I avoid using heat like that as much as possible. I sleep with twists of plaits in my hair and undo the next morning. Please have a look at 'My Routine' page for details. If you wet your hair or apply a lot of a water based products to your hair after you've removed your braids, then that may explain why your hair still shrinks. I do it reverse to tackle this: I apply my spritz before removing my braids.

There's never a dull moment with you and 'Fro. I look forward to seeing the rest or the styles. Friday and Monday are my faves.
