This Week’s Looks

I liked Fro this week, and I think it liked me. For some reason, I decided to skip wash day last week. I think it was because my hair wasn’t dirty. I hadn’t used gel the previous week and with the air getting colder and drier, I figured it’d be a good test to see how long I can keep my hair before having to wash it in winter. As usual, I spritzed twice daily but as the week progressed, I reduced it to once a day. My beloved Herbal Essences conditioner stash has finally run out 🙁 so I replaced it with my V05 Love My Colour conditioner instead. It’s a heavier one, so I had to reduce the conditioner ratio in my spritz so it wasn’t too gunky. As I did the last week, I avoided gel use and also tried to minimise stretching my edges to make sure Fro got a good rest from my Updo challenge.

I was actually planning on having these twists kept in throughout the week and start covering it up with a beanie and headscarf….yeah wasn’t going to happen. By Tuesday morning, they were looking a bit too ratty to show up to work with, especially since I had a very important meeting that day.

Tuesday: So I quickly undid them and rocked one of my go to styles.

Wednesday: I hadn’t worn a completely free Fro style in AWHILE. So I was very excited to just let Fro be. It wasn’t easy styling this though. I think my hair’s grown to the point that free Fro’ing looks a bit weird. So I had to tuck and pat a few sections down to get that look I like.

Thursday was a miserable, miserable day. Hmppf. So I kept Fro safe from the rain and cold by wrapping a scarf over my twists underneath. Unfortunately, I couldn’t take pics that day but I’ll definitely be rocking that outfit again soon. So comfy.

On Thursday eve, I prepped my hair as usual and put the front section of my hair into smaller twists than the rest. I LOVED Friday’s outcome…

Friday:

I simply undid the twists and just pulled the ‘strands’ down to fluff without losing the curl. Happiness 😀

Saturday: I re-wore one of my fave styles from my Updos challenge. I wasn’t sure I’d be able to replicate the look for my video tutorial but I did and I loved it again! NB: Day 15 of the upcoming vids 😉

And with that, Fro’s about to go into hibernation mode. I asked my Twitter followers yesterday if they had any fabulous protective style ideas for me to rock this winter. All I’m going to say is they’re all on my list! Let winter come, Fro & I will be ready for ya!
