Demi Godess & Kandi Experience

Last Friday night, I attended my first event as Aisha of My Fro & I. I was super chuffed to have been invited to the Kandi & Demi Goddess event held at Icon in Sandton. I haven’t had girls’ night out in awhile so I was even more excited when I received the invitation and it revealed that the theme was burlesque, the dress code: lace and drama. Oh what drama it was trying to find something to wear and still look classy! But I managed to put an outfit together and accessorise my hair in a classy way. The evening was really a glamourised girls’ night out. And I took my girls Nthasi & TJ (Tejumade of The Discerning Stylist).

Here are some pics of the night:

Ready to go!

These girls & their performance were so cute!

Some Kandi products

We had such a ball from the live performance to the decor to the fashion
and all things girly stands including one by Lola Montez. The hair on show was some of the best I’ve seen and the Kandi products are definitely something I’d look into personally trying in the future, although to be honest both have high price tags. But I have to
admit I was slightly disappointed that most of my fellow guests didn’t
even dress up for the theme :(. At least we left with some swag in a
pretty gift bag and also made it onto the VIP list for the Icon after
party 😀

I heard a lot about this party in the last few days, especially from the hostess. It looks like it was a fun girls' night out.
