I’m sure many of you know that the past few weeks I’ve been writing some posts that I think are particularly helpful for the newbie naturals among us. I use the term very loosely as you could be five years post relaxer but still consider yourself a newbie because you’ve recently decided to grow it longer or change your methods and techniques of caring for it. Or you could be new in the literal sense of the word too. Either way, there’s a page for you on My Fro & I and I’ve re-jigged it so you can go there whenever you’d like to re-visit some of the posts I’ve shared with you as well as future ones that may come up. So please have a look if you ever feel stuck (it’s the black tab under the logo that says ‘Newbie Natural’ :p)
In the meantime, I wanted to share my tips again for you newbies. In case you missed them…

Jambo Aisha! I'm a fellow Swahili-speaking South African natural, I'm reading your blog from all the way in the Middle East though! Like the poster above I'm in my teens, and I have one question: for your 30 Updos post, how exactly did you stretch your hair? I'm now nearing 1 year natural (already 1 year post relaxer as of yesterday) but I find I HAVE to style my hair while wet otherwise it dries all shrunken and tangled. I'd love to try your styles but find that I'm limited with my stretching options – threading is quite tedious! I'd appreciate the help xx
Loooove your blog! :D. I'm sixteen and towards the end of my transitioning stage , you and fro just inpire me!
