Hey you!
So I’ve received a few mails and tweets etc. from my beloved readers asking me if I’m alive, if I’m okay and what’s happening with Fro. I am alive, I’m (now) great and Fro is her old self. They seem to call it the end of year burnout and boy have I felt that hit me like a ton of bricks. Short of suffering some panic attacks some weeks ago, I’m back on my feet and beyond excited for 2014!
That being said, I’m still going to be taking it easy with My Fro & I for the next few weeks. A lot of things have happened in my personal life and I have a lot on my plate so I’m using this time to regroup. From next week onwards, it’ll be quiet again as my family and I begin our celebrations of my sister getting married 😀
Without further a due, a quick update on how I’ve been doing with my hair…
Might look like I’m picking my nose but I swear I’m not. |
I kept my cornrow and puff pony style for the rest of October so in total it was installed for 4 weeks before I undid it. I then gave Fro a week’s rest before installing the same style again. This time the cornrows went upwards to the side. I’m loving this style at the moment because I can easily wash my hair without it looking messy and it’s also hassle free in the mornings. I just pop the pony on and I’m good to go. This helped me a lot in the months of October and November when things got really hectic and I didn’t have the time or energy to re-twist my hair every night. It’s also very quick to tidy up once it begins getting frizzy; I just slap on some gel, lightly brush my hair and tie my headscarf around it for about 10 minutes to flatten it.
My sister’s wedding is around the corner (how time flies!) and I’m pretty decided on how I’ll wear my hair for that. As it’s a destination wedding (sort of lol), I won’t have my home comforts so I’ve decided, along with the other bridesmaids, to braid my hair in preparation for the event. I’m not sure how small or big I’ll make them but I’m thinking, the simpler the better. She’s requested that her bridesmaids wear updos of some sort so I’m leaning in this direction:

I love the one below but my sister’s asked we keep our hair off our faces. Maybe I can sneak it through…?

As for my Youtube 30 Days videos, I’m aiming to upload the last 10 (days 21-30) before I head home for Christmas.
And that’s pretty much it! Thank you to all who’ve asked about me and if I’m okay. I’m good 🙂
