No, I’m Not Having an Identity Crisis

Hey all,

If you follow me on Twitter you’ve probably already seen that I’ve finally changed my handle. It’s been bothering me since I created it.

You know when you’re finally joining the technology world and get a new account in an already crowded social media platform, you kind of struggle for a name. Use your own maybe? Some people are surprised when I tell them ‘Aisha’ isn’t such an uncommon name you know. Neither is AishaM or Miss Aisha or Aishaaaam…

I used to love ‘Cosmogirl’ but I’ve grown up and I want to be identified
by my name. Contrary to many others, I actually love my name – so much
so I tattooed it on myself. Yes, I love me 🙂 SO, when I finally welcomed Instagram into my life, I saw that my name coupled with the meaning of my name was available and I love it! Drumroll and take note please…

Nice handle. I am aisha too and I am Nigerian. I totally love my name especially when I get called by my dad in full Nana-aisha. Hoping to get a tattoo in my name someday. Aishas rock!
