My Wedding Story Part 2: The Bridal Shower

The evening before my “white wedding”, I had my bridal shower. My
sisters, bridesmaids and close friends organised a fabulous get together
with my favourite women. It was held at Protea Fire and Ice in Melrose Arch, Johannesburg
and the theme was ‘Girly and Fascinators’. There were pearls, wine,
feathers, lots of laughs and of course gorgeous and naughty gifts!

My Hair

I wore my hair in a semi shrunken state so not to bother with the styling process of the next day (my wedding day). I slicked my sides with gel and used my ever faithful bra strap as a headband to keep it back. I left some hair out it the front and loosely twisted it to the right and pinned it down with bobby pins. The entire theme and location was a surprise and all my bridesmaids told me on the day was to look cute and wear my hair in a way that would accommodate a ‘hair piece’ lol. So I did as they asked and left my hotel with a hair flower in my hair only for it to be replaced by a white bridal fascinator which I had been secretly longing for from Lovisa. (Thanks Phum for hooking that up!)

It was the perfect girly send off for one of the biggest days of my life…coming to you in My Wedding Story Part…

Looks like such a fun night. Still trying to figure out exactly how you use a bra strap to hold your hair – that totally made me laugh out loud. Be blessed in your marriage my dear. Be blessed.

Lol, I have an earlier video up on YouTube showing how I use it. It's my go-to tool! I think I show it in one of my basics tutorials 😉
