Winter Whites

I’m kinda in love with white this winter. From my clothes to my man(!) to my makeup, I’m appreciating how chic white can look. Here are two winter white looks I’m currently rocking.

White eyeliner

I have a tray full of different coloured eye liners but my fave is white. I know it’s not a new trick and I dabbled with it for a couple of weeks while in uni but for the past couple of months,  I’ve been pairing my white pencil with bold or nude lippies. It’s great that it goes with pretty much all colours and can add an instant touch of glam. The best is that it actually makes your eyes look slightly bigger – perfect for those “I feel like death” mornings ie. Mondays hehe. Just draw a thin line on your bottom waterline and add some mascara. And you’ll be looking all bright eyed and busy tailed. I’m currently using Rimmel’s kohl eye liner which usually retails for R69.95.

White nail polish

Oooh so chic. I first used it years ago and swore to never do it again ‘cos it looked like tippex on my fingers. But then I saw my wedding makeup artist rocking it last year and thought I’d give it another go. I don’t know if it’s because of the colour but I’ve found I have to layer on the coats with to avoid that streaky look. But when it’s on, dry and polished with a glossy top coat *dreamy*. It’s understated and goes with everything. I’m currently using Carice’s polish in Snow Motion, retails for about R45.
