TRESemmé Launches Botanique

When I first went natural, one of the first set of products that I used were the TRESemmé Naturals shampoo and conditioner. After struggling to find many of the products I saw being raved about online, I was glad to have found them and they quickly became my go to for my TWA wash and go’s. This came to the surprise of my friends, as I guess we always believed that if it’s in the “white hair” aisle, it’s not meant for us. But I, like many other naturals, was pleasantly surprised and corrected. The Naturals Conditioner was a staple part of my co-washing sessions, and a permanent tenant in my products stash in my bathroom. So much so my husband also co-washed with it. So I know I’m not the only one whose heart felt a bit heavy when I no longer saw TRESemmé Naturals line in stores last year when I needed to top up.

Well, TRESemmé has come out with a new line for naturals. The brand new TRESemmé Botanique is a shampoo and conditioner system that’s lower in sulfates and free of parabens, dyes, and silicones. And of course, it’s professional quality. The formula contains two of my fave ingredients of Aloe Vera and Coconut Milk which help to combat dryness and breakage in hair. The shampoo gives your hair a gentle cleanse while removing product build up and keeping it moisturised. The conditioner smoothes hair and replaces any oils lost in shampooing. Last week, TRESemmé announced their new wash and care system at an intimate launch in Sandton. The event was held at Gallery 011 in Kramerville and showcased natural hair in all of its glory, using loved influencers (including yours truly) as the models for the portraits. It was hosted by Loot Love and guest included various reps from media and influencers. Here are some photos from the launch.

I love how easily accessible the TRESemmé products are (I mean, where can’t you get TRESemmé?) And also how cost efficient, particularly for the quality of the product. A 750ml bottle costs R79.99 and can last for months. You can get the new Botanique line from leading retail stores. I can’t wait to share how Fro’s been doing using this line, so look out for my first impressions of this duo in a review post coming soon!
